William Lester Goodman was born August 3, 1955 in Wichita, Kansas, son of William Lewis and Dimple Lee (McClelland) Goodman.
Les, as he was known to many, entered in to the United States Army, but was unable to complete boot camp due to contracting meningitis.
In 2001, Les married Carol Jean Ludlow in Anthony, Kansas. They made their home in Wichita, where Les owned and operated a tree service business. Carol was the love of Les' life and when she passed away in 2020, Les was brokenhearted.
Les was a free spirit that loved life. His personality drew people to him. He had many hobbies that included playing basketball and football, going to car races, collecting cars, and watching horror movies. He also loved his pets.
On October 22, 2021, Les passed away at Patterson Health Center at the age of 66 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Les will be deeply missed by his cousins: Nora Ford, Georgia Solis, Roberta Shipman, and Ryan Ford; other relatives; and many friends.
Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. November 17, 2021 at Westview Lodge in Harper, Kansas with Pastor Ron Eden officiating. A private burial will take place at the Freeport Cemetery.
