Obituary

Virginia Lee Bradley, daughter of Berton M. and Josephine R. (Young) Cullop, was born October 13, 1926 at Manchester, Oklahoma.  She was delivered by her grandmother, Jennie Young.  Virginia went to school at Manchester for 11 years, before her family moved to Ferguson, Kansas.  She rode the bus to Spring High School her senior year, graduating with the Class of 1945.

After graduation she went to work for Dr. Duffy in Anthony, during which time she met and married Frank Netahla.  She later married Homer Bradley.

Virginia took pride in her yards and always kept her yard full of flowers.  She had a collection of dolls, which included her very first one.  She enjoyed sewing and made many quilts.  She spent hours making books on her family genealogy and made sure she kept them up to date.

Virginia loved keeping her grandchildren and enjoyed being Mema to them.  Every year she looked forward to the Cullop family reunions.  She served as secretary of CWF, Queen Ester Class, EHU, and was president of Senior Citizens, which met every Monday evening to play cards.  She was secretary of Spring High until it closed.

Virginia was a member of the Manchester Christian Church from age 12.  After Homer passed away in 1990 and Virginia returned to Anthony, she became a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she enjoyed helping with funeral dinners.

On October 9, 2024, Virginia passed away at Country Living, where she had spent her last few years.  She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mike Netahla; grandchildren, Christopher Netahla and Lindsay Netahla; and siblings: Ernest and Gerald Cullop, Maxine Robertson, and Florence McKee.

Virginia will be deeply missed by her daughter, Debbie Francis and husband, Allen; daughter-in-law, LuAnn Netahla; grandchildren: Annette (Travis) Marsh, Megan (Justin) Wilcox, and Nathan (Jennifer) Netahla; great-grandchildren: Brailey Koehler, Brieley Koehler, Brenson Marsh, Addison Wilcox, Miley Hodson, Beckett Wilcox, Christian Netahla, and Maddox Netahla; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 14, 2024 at the Manchester Cemetery, Manchester, Oklahoma with Father Babu Pinninti officiating.

Friends may sign the register from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at Prairie Rose Funeral Home, Anthony.  Per Virginia's request the casket will remain closed.

Memorials in memory of Virginia may be made to the Manchester Cemetery and can be sent in care of Prairie Rose Funeral Home, 602 E. Main St., Anthony, KS 67003.
