Viliami Tomasi Siale was born September 2, 1944 on Tonga Island in the South Pacific, the only child born to Sosefo Takaua Siale and Amelia Tuipulotu Siale.  He attended and graduated from GPS School in Tatakamotonga.  He attended college at St. John's Catholic School in Nukualofa, the capital of Tonga.

On April 6, 1965, Viliami was united in marriage with Akata N. Mahe in Lapaha.  Viliami was an entertainer.  He traveled to Japan for six month periods to perform customary South Pacific dances.  He was also a songwriter.

In 1980, Viliami and Akata moved to the United States, settling in California.  He continued to travel, teach dance and entertain.  He also worked at the San Francisco Airport as a Fueler.

After Akata passed away, Viliami moved to Harper, Kansas.

On October 19, 2021, Viliami passed away at Patterson Health Center in Anthony, Kansas at the age of 77 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Akata.

Viliami will be deeply missed by his children:  Akata Siale, Malia Tukutonga Siale Heimuli and husband, Falemaka, and Viliami "Will" Maka and wife, Lanie; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 25, 2021 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Harper, of the St Joan of Arc Parish Community of Harper County with Father Bob Pinninti officiating. Committal service will follow in the Harper Cemetery.
