Victor Henry Blick was born on August 27, 1931 in Nashville, Kansas to Roman Nicholas Blick, Sr and Margaret Nellie (Ketzner) Blick.  He was the oldest of seven children and the family made their home in the Sharon area.  Victor attended the St. Boniface Catholic School in Sharon and then Sharon High School, graduating with the class of 1949.

Starting his adult life, Victor worked with his father on the family farm.  Then on March 24, 1953, Victor joined the United States Army.  After his infantry training, he was attached to the 26th Infantry Regiment, the "Blue Spaders" and was stationed in Germany for just over 18 months.  During his proud service to his country, Victor was awarded the Affidavit of Merit (Germany), National Defense Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.  At the rank of Corporal, he was honorably discharged on March 17, 1955.

Moving to McMinnville, Oregon, Victor drove a milk route for Darigold for 15 years.  On one of his trips home to visit family, he met his future bride, Ruth Elaine Ricke.  On January 10, 1970, Victor and Ruth were married at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sharon, Kansas and returned to McMinnville.

In 1972, the couple moved home to take over the family dairy farm.  They were blessed with three children: Rodney Nicholas, Kristi Ann, and Billy Joe.  Closing the dairy in 1978, Victor continued to farm and also stayed busy with several part time jobs.  He and Ruth owned and operated the liquor store in Sharon in the early 1990s.  He was a delivery driver for Ames Oil.  When that company closed, he delivered for Dark Oil for 17 years before retiring in 2011.

After retirement, Victor enjoyed his trips to town so he could visit and tell stories.  He also loved to spend time with his family and was proud to be a grandpa.

On October 4, 2020, Victor passed away at the Patterson Health Center at the age of 89.  Preceding him in death were his parents, Roman Sr and Margaret Blick; siblings, Vivian Moore and Roman Jr; and granddaughter, Peyton Blick.  He is survived by his wife, Ruth of the home in rural Attica; children: Rodney Blick of Wichita, Kansas, Kristi Baird (James) of rural Sharon, Kansas, and Bill Blick (Jody) of Wichita; grandchildren: Molly, Kinsley, Cora, and Grant Blick and Jaxon, Jaspur, and Jhett Baird; siblings: Joan Smith (Max), Margaret Adams (Jake), Mary Ann Blick, and Vernon "Buzz" Blick; other relatives and friends.
