Obituary

Tyler Wesson "Ty" Long, of Anthony, Kansas, left this world on January 31, 2021.

Visitation will be held for friends on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony, KS.  A private family celebration of life will be held.

The family asks in lieu of flowers, friends plant a tree in memory of Tyler or give a donation to the Tyler Long Memorial Fund.  The vision for the memorial fund is to help start a youth center.

Tyler was born in Scott City, Kansas on August 12, 2004.  He was a student at Chaparral High School, was active in cross country, and loved running.

Tyler had a smile that could light up a room and a laugh louder than life.  He was a gifted artist with a huge heart for family and animals.  He enjoyed meeting weekly to play cards with friends at Jeff Long Post in Harper and loved to fish.  He is loved immensely, will be greatly missed, and life will not be the same without him.

Tyler will be forever in the hearts of Marlene Christensen, Jarrett Brooks, Bryce Schwartz, Alexis Long, Justice Long, Bryson Schwartz, Grace Whitmer, Boone Brooks, Shaylee Brooks, Kamree Brooks, Brady Schwartz, Bonnie Christensen, Leif Christensen, June Burch, Henry Christensen, Lori and Rodney Royer, Vicky and Charles Steffens, Leif and Kinsey Christensen, Lars Christensen, Darlyn and Brian Loy, Devin and Jamee Schwartz, Gage Bland, Drew Royer, Perry Royer, Isabella Hernandez, Nevaeh Hernandez, Mandy Calderon, and Jaiden Jones.

He was preceded in death by Richard "Papa Dick" Long, Jeff Long, Lori Elder Christensen, Glenn Burch, and Aase Christensen.
