Obituary

Troy Scott Holden was born on November 24, 1981 to Bill and Wanda Holden in Wakita, Ok.  He was called home on April 11, 2025 in Iowa.

As a youngster Troy was an adventurer, nothing scared him.  He was always the first one into the water, and quite a stunt man on a bicycle.  He took many trips to the ER as a result of his bravery.  He enjoyed playing guitar and drawing, and was pretty good at both. He had a few good friends, Scotty and Justin, who he would pass time playing music with.

Troy spent a lot of time working construction jobs with Josh as well as several family members over the years.  He was everyone's favorite uncle, playing video games and competing in random kid created competitions.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elbert (Tuffy) and Juanita Reneau; paternal grandparents, Bill and Helen Holden; and aunts and uncles, Louise and Melvin Stringer, Johnny and Debbie Holden.

He is survived his parents: Bill and Wanda Holden of Wakita, Oklahoma; brother, Billy (Diana) Holden of Heron Lake, Minnesota; sister, Joni (Robert) Hicks of Mont Belvieu, Texas; brother, Brian (Tiffany) Holden of Amity, Missouri; two nieces, Laina and Brianne; seven nephews: Blake, Chase, Easton, Cole, Colt, Wrigley, and Gavin; uncles and aunts:  Darrel and Dona Reneau, Eddie and Rose Holden, and Joan Myers; other relatives and friends.

Graveside service 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Burchfiel Cemetery, south of Anthony, Kansas with Reverend Kateena Roberts officiating.

Memorials in memory of Troy may be made to the Troy Holden Memorial Fund and can be sent in care of Prairie Rose Funeral Home, 602 E. Main St., Anthony, KS 67003.
