On August 11, 2022, on the two-year anniversary of Wanda's death, Tom Harmon left this world to join her. They were better together than apart, and their love spanned over fifty years. Tom was a devoted husband, father, and friend.
I don't think anyone can argue Tom was one of the hardest working men they knew. Two things he imparted on his daughters was a solid work ethic and always do things right the first time. He drilled this into their heads, especially when it came to mowing the vast yard on the farm during their teenage years.
Tom worked hard, but he also knew how to take time to play. Wanda and he were the host of many calve fry parties over the years and fixtures at the Harper Supper Club parties as well as annual trips to the National Finals Rodeos. Tom's quick humor and wit were always a hit with their many friends and family.
As with any life journey, ups and downs filled Tom's life. The ups included children, retirement and grandchildren, the downs included the loss his beloved wife Wanda and son Danny. Through all the highs and lows, Tom's fortitude, and determination carried him on. He will be missed greatly, but his daughters know he is in a better place with Wanda.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Sam Harmon and Leda Chrysler, his wife Wanda, and their son Danny. His daughters, Angela Dvorak, and Nancy Richardson, along with their husbands Duane and Jared; as well as his two grandchildren Gage and Gabriel Richardson are left to mourn his passing.
More information will be forthcoming regarding a celebration of life on the Friday following Thanksgiving.
