Lois Suzanne Harmon, known by most as Sue, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, passed away November 14, 2017 at Pratt Health and Rehab, at the age of 74. She was born May 28, 1943 in Norman, Oklahoma, daughter of Jack and Lola Mae (Odea) Daniel. She graduated from Harper High School in 1961.
On May 17, 1962, Sue was united in marriage with Phillip H. Harmon in Anthony. They moved to Colorado for a short time, before returning to Anthony, where Sue worked at the nursing home as a nurse aide. They moved to Pratt, Kansas where Sue worked for Southwest Truck as a secretary and in delivery. When Phillip began working for the City of Pratt, Sue became a homemaker.
Sue loved spending time with her family, especially going to the movies with her daughters and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bingo, antique shopping, painting, playing in pool tournaments and collecting pottery.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Wesley, Wiley and Esta Mae Daniel and Connie Jones.
Sue will be deeply missed by her husband, Phillip H. Harmon; daughters: Leanna S. Borst and husband, Scott, and Ronda K. Carr and husband, Breck; grandchildren: Amber Nikkel and husband, Eric, Gage Cole, Brenden Cole, Lakin Harmon, Bryce Morgan and wife, Macy, and Braden Morgan; 1 great-grandchild: London Nikkel; siblings: Ralph Daniel and wife, Debbie, Joy Snowden and husband, Mervin, and Leon Daniel and wife, Cyd; several nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and many friends.
Memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2017 at Spring Grove Cemetery in Anthony with Pastor Kent Olds officiating. Cremation has taken place.
Friends may register 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony.
Memorials in memory of Sue may be made to the Kansas Humane Society and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
