Steven Thomas Nash was born on January 23, 1962 in Harbor City, California to Ron Nash and Nancy Palmer. After 8 years battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia, Steven passed away on May 26, 2017 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 55 years, 4 months, and 3 days.
Steven was united in marriage with Stephanie Paige Anderson on October 10, 1998 at the Anthony Lake. This union was blessed with 5 children: MatthewRyan, Becca, Melissa, Natalie, and Keegan. They made their home in Richardson, Texas where he worked as a Senior Systems Analyst. Steven recently became a grandfather and another grandchild is on the way. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America where he was a leader for approximately 15 years. Steven was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as a Temple Ordinance Worker for 6 years and served a mission in Santiago, Chile.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Kay Nash and Al and Emy Palmer and uncle, Tom Palmer. He is survived by his wife and children of the home; parents, Ron Nash and Nancy Palmer; siblings: Mark Lewis, Gary Lewis, Mike Nash, John Nash, Glen Nash, and Kim Chastain; uncle, Dan Palmer; parents-in-law, Brad and Mary Jane (Palmer) Anderson of Wichita, Kansas; other relatives and many friends.
Graveside Service is at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Harper Cemetery in Harper, Kansas.
Memorial Service is at 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Richardson, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Camp Kesem at Texas A&M in Steven's name. "Kesem is a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent's cancer." www.campkesem.org And memorials can be sent in care of the funeral home or to the family.
