Stella Ann Jackson was born February 15, 1949 in Wellington, Kansas, daughter of Loretta (Bryer) Jackson.
In 1963, Stella married Freddie Jackson in Red Cloud, Nebraska. They made their home in Anthony, where Stella was from. This union was blessed with three children: Freddie, Donald, and Ivy. They later legally adopted their granddaughters, Candace, Mercedes, and Lexis.
Stella spent her life as a homemaker raising her children and grandchildren. Fred was a self-employed tree trimmer and hydraulic jack repair man, so she frequently helped him.
Stella was an amazing woman, who loved her family deeply. She was known for her kind, loving, and strong personality, as well as her deep religious faith.
On April 13, 2024, Stella passed away at Patterson Health Center at the age of 75. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; her son, Donald; twin children that she miscarried; daughter-in-law, Rachelle Jackson; her mother, Loretta; and all ten of her siblings including: Walter, Jake, and Leon Jackson.
Stella will be deeply missed by her children: Freddie Jackson and Ivy Daniels; grandchildren: Candace Jackson, Mercedes Jackson, Jenna Watkins, Lexis Becker, and Emerald Jackson; 7 great-grandchildren: Joseph Trahan, Braxton Patterson, Karson Patterson, Maylee Watkins, Kash Watkins, Rosalie Patterson, Asher Trahan; her 8th great-grandchild arriving in June, Elena Trahan; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time.
Memorials in memory of Stella may be made to the Stella Jackson Memorial Fund and can be sent in care of Prairie Rose Funeral Home, 602 E. Main St., Anthony, KS 67003.
