Shirley L. Bell, age 59, of Anthony, Kansas passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2020.

She was born July 15, 1961 in Wichita, Kansas, daughter of the late Kenneth D. Bell and Georgia (Woodman) Linville, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters; Julie Denner and her husband Matt of Kansas, Jessica Miller and her husband John of Virginia, and Kendra Bell and wife, Nicole of the home; one son, Jonathan Leal of Montana; five brothers; James Bell of Wichita, Kansas; Shannon Linville of Aurora, Missouri; Leslie Alley and his wife Sarah of Arkansas; Larry Alley of Aurora, Missouri and Donald Alley and his wife Laura of New Hampshire; two sisters; Ruth Mathews and her husband Ken of Aurora, Missouri; Merri Wolf-Wells of Arkansas, one grandson Joseph, one granddaughter Elizabeth and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Shirley graduated Beloit High School in Beloit, Kansas. She attended nursing school at St. Mary's of the Plains in Dodge City graduating in 1982 with her LPN license.  She worked in the Wichita, Norwich, Anthony and Attica nursing homes for over thirty years before retiring.

Shirley's greatest love was her family.  Her children were her world and she absolutely adored her grandchildren.  She was funny, outgoing, trustworthy, and always there when someone needed a shoulder to cry on.  She enjoyed embroidery and was seldom seen without a proper manicure.  Watching football was a tradition for her, her favorite team being the New York Giants.

Preceding her in death were her father, Kenneth D. Bell; step-mother, Connie; and one son, Nicholas Scarpelli.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be announced next summer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shirley Bell Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
