Ruth Marie Rader was born March 14, 1926 in Anthony, Kansas, daughter of Lonnie Bryan and Lottie Lavina (Meyers) Williams. She grew up in the Kiowa and Gerlane vicinities.
Ruth was united in marriage with Robert J. Vondracek on March 7, 1945. This union was blessed with two daughters, Betty Lou and Sue. Bob and Ruth divorced in 1964.
On June 18, 1974 Ruth married Bill Rader in Sherman, Texas. They loved to fish and spent every winter for 18 years in Port Aransas, Texas. At their home in Manchester, Oklahoma, Ruth loved to garden, grow flowers and take care of the lawn.
In Manchester Ruth met Tim and Myrna Jantz, who became her extended family and would do anything for her.
Bill passed away on January 13, 2009 and Ruth moved to Harper, Kansas to live with her daughter, Sue and son-in-law, Dan.
On November 28, 2016, Ruth passed away at Attica Long Term Care at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Betty Lou; husband, Bill Rader; sisters: Donna Mae (Carl) Swafford and Dorothy (Walt) Duvall; brother, Lonnie (Bev) Williams; and a granddaughter, Traci Misak.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Sue and her husband, Dan Raberding; grandson, Travis Wilson; 3 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Harper Cemetery, Harper, Kansas.
Memorials in memory of Ruth may be made to the Kansas Humane Society and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
