Rosalie Mary Salters was born on November 23, 1920 to Moses Theodore "Ted" and Mabel Laura (Brown) Cochran in Harper, Kansas.  With four sisters and a brother, she grew up and attended school in Harper, graduating from Harper High School with the class of 1939.

On August 10, 1941, Rosalie was united in marriage with Kenneth Eugene Salters at the Harper Methodist Church.  This union was blessed with three children: Kenalie and twins, Jane and Rick.  The couple had just celebrated sixty-seven wonderful years of marriage before Kenneth passed away December 18, 2008.

After the war, Kenneth was stationed in Chicago, Illinois while still in the Navy.  The young couple lived there and Rosalie worked for Henry C. Lytton & Co. clothing store.  Moving to the Kansas City area so Kenneth could work for the Army Corp of Engineers, Rosalie became the manager of Rothschild's clothing store.  After starting their family, Rosalie became a homemaker and raised the children.  They made their home in Overland Park, Kansas.  In the early 1990's, Rosalie and Kenneth returned to Harper.

Rosalie passed away on March 29, 2019 in Wichita, Kansas at the age of ninety-eight.  Preceding her in death are her parents, Ted and Mabel Cochran; husband, Kenneth; brother, Harold Cochran; and sisters: Hazel Barnes, Mildred Pitts, and Helen Swafford.  She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Kenalie Salters of Harper; daughter, Jane Breen of Arizona; son, Rick Salters and his wife, Susan of Shawnee, Kansas; grandchildren, Timothy and Matthew Breen; step-grandchildren, Brad Clay and his wife, Trisha and Mindy Prichard and her husband, Charlie; several great-grandchildren; sister, Elnor Arning of Harper; other relatives and friends.

Cremation has taken place.  Friends may register from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2019 at the Harper Cemetery with Phil Unruh officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Harper City Historical Society and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
