Robert Aaron "Bob" Lee, also known to many as Buck, was born February 9, 1951 in Kingman, Kansas, son of Orville J. and Velma (Compton) Lee.  He grew up in Kingman with his two sisters who remember him hollering like Tarzan and getting bit in his butt by Sue's appaloosa horse, Nero, when he tried to jump on him bareback.  His sophomore year he moved to Harper where he graduated from Harper High School with the Class of 1969. He served his country in the Army National Guard.

On March 15, 1981, Bob was united in marriage with Kitty McFarland in Anthony, Kansas where they made their home.  Kitty brought into this marriage one daughter, Mona, and the union was blessed with one son, Trent.  They also raised their grandson, CJ.

Bob worked for the City of Anthony Water Department for many years.  In 2009, Bob's heart was broken when Kitty passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.  He retired from the city and went to work for McCray Farms in Manchester, OK.  In 2019, he and CJ moved to Wakita, Oklahoma.

Bob was a very loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  While the boys were growing up the family took many fun vacations to Texas, Missouri, Tennessee, Colorado, and Oklahoma.  He loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.  Trent remembers all the Sunday fishing trips to Salt Plains and going boating and camping at Cheney Lake.  CJ remembers spending countless hours with him driving around the country looking for deer.  Bob was very active in Harper County 4-H with both the boys.  He enjoyed music, especially country and oldies.  He was an avid KU basketball fan and Nebraska Cornhuskers football fan.

On March 4, 2022, Bob passed away peacefully with Trent and CJ by his side at Pratt Medical Center, Pratt, Kansas, at the age of 71.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Kitty.

Bob will be deeply missed by his son, Trent Lee and wife, Annette; grandson, CJ Studie; daughter, Mona Studie-Holmes and husband, Jason; 3 grandchildren:  Lydia, Mikey, and Summer; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters: Linda Cooper and husband, Flint, and Sue Watkins and husband, Dean; nieces: Cindy Leonard and Flinda Long; 2 great-nieces; 1 great-nephew; one aunt, Velma Compton; and a host of other relatives and many, many friends.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Spring Grove Cemetery, west of Anthony.

Friends may view and sign the register 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Prairie Rose Funeral Home, Anthony.
