Robert E. Connelly was born October 31, 1935 in Pampa, Texas, son of Edward and Fern (Brandenburg) Connelly. He graduated from Hays High School in Hays, Kansas.

On March 26, 1956, Bob was united in marriage with Sue Hunter at the First Baptist Church in Anthony.  This union was blessed with one son, John.  The family made their home in Anthony, Kansas.

In his early years, Bob worked in the oilfield.  He spent the rest of his working career as a Pipe Fitter for Cessna in Wichita, Kansas before retiring.

Bob enjoyed all types of sporting events.  He was an avid K-State fan!  He also loved coon hunting.

Bob was a longtime faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Anthony.

On October 18, 2020, Bob passed away at the Anthony Community Care Center at the age of 84.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Connelly; and brother, John W. Connelly.

Bob will be deeply missed by his wife, Sue; son, John Connelly and wife, Nancy; sister, Lois Ashby; his First Baptist Church Family; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Forest Park Cemetery in Anthony with Pastor Warren Stanton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
