Obituary

Phyllis Cooper was born August 6, 1926 in the Spring Township of Harper County, Kansas, daughter of William E. and Nell (Frazier) Sevier.

On July 4, 1953, Phyllis was united in marriage with Clifford A. Cooper at Anthony, Kansas.   Together they farmed and raised cattle until retiring. Phyllis was a member of the O.E.S. and attended the First Baptist Church.

For more than 25 years, Phyllis passed time making sequined calendars for her family and friends every year. She would personalize them with everyone's birthdays. She also enjoyed sewing (making clothes for her daughter in her younger years), reading and playing cards.

On March 11, 2018, Phyllis passed away at the Anthony Community Care Center at the age of 91 years, 7 months and 5 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford; and brothers, Eugene "Mutt" Sevier and Berl Sevier.

Phyllis will be deeply missed by her children: Patricia Robert and husband, John, and Donald Cooper and wife, Laura; 3 grandsons: Michael Robert and wife, Jennifer, Christopher Robert and wife, Sierra, and Jeffrey Robert and wife, Amanda; 5 great-grandsons: Thomas, Alex, Jack, Bryce and Kolten Robert; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2018 at Forest Park Cemetery in Anthony, Kansas with Pastor Warren Stanton officiating. Friends may register 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Prairie Rose in Anthony.

Memorials in memory of Phyllis may be made to the First Baptist Church or to Country Living Inc., and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
