Obituary

Pauline S. Ioerger-Williamson was born April 23, 1931 in Kingman, Kansas to Shirley Everett and Nola (Hunt) Parlett. She had a sister, Mary Lou who died at a young age. This left Pauline to care for her deaf parents, adding to all the other difficulties of growing up during the depression. She did all verbal communication for her parents, as no one in those days signed in Kingman.

A difficult decision to leave behind a life of caring for her parents, Pauline married William Ioerger in 1948. This union was blessed with three children: Steven, Shirley, and Suzanne. A fourth child was lost in infancy. Being a mother was Pauline's life. She devoted herself to her children and grandchildren. Pauline took care of her daughter, Shirley for every single year of her life. Shirley was born a Rubella baby and Pauline didn't take a single day off of taking care of Shirley. Pauline was also a father and a mother to her youngest daughter, Suzanne. Pauline was the definition of a strong woman for so many years until she recently entered a nursing home.

On December 14, 2016, Pauline passed away in Wichita at the age of 85. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William "Bill" Ioerger; and an infant daughter, Sherri Ann Ioerger. She is survived by her children: son, Steven Ioerger and his wife, Dr. Tari Ernst; her daughters: Shirley Ann Ioerger and Suzanne Michele Ioerger; grandchildren: Michael Ioerger, Zachary Ioerger, Elizabeth Ioerger, Patrick Ioerger, Christopher Ioerger, and Kadin Parlett Jabara; other relatives and friends.
