Pauline Annabelle Hacker was born on May 3, 1934 in Norton County, Kansas, daughter of Henry Moulten and Hattie Irene (Cox) Davis.  She was the youngest of ten children, three boys and seven girls.  The family moved to Harper County, Kansas when she was 9 years old where she attended school in Attica, Kansas, graduating from Attica High School with the class of 1952.

Meeting the love of her life, Lewis Hacker when she was still in school, they were married in Kingman, Kansas on December 24, 1951.  They made their home in Harper and were blessed with three children: Janice, Wendell, and Bonita.  Pauline started working in housekeeping at the Harper Hospital in 1954.  But first and foremost, she was a wife and a mother, as well as a seamstress, making a lot of the children's clothing.  She retired in 1989, after 35 years of dedication and service to the hospital.

Dancing was Pauline's greatest love.  Lewis and she were talented country dancers, going to different venues and competitions, where they won multiple times.  She was a longtime member of the Harper Presbyterian Church and later in life, she joined the Harper Christian Church.  Pauline enjoyed time with family, bowling, crocheting, traveling, playing cards and other games with friends, and going to the casino.  Family gatherings were always blessed with her homemade noodles.

Just a few days before her 92nd birthday, Pauline passed away on April 25, 2026 in Hutchinson, Kansas.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Hattie Davis; husband, Lewis Hacker; son, Wendell Hacker; and all her siblings: Lorraine Wolfe, Louise Applegate, Betty Totten Kernohan, Orland Davis, Harvey Davis, Richard Davis, Delores McDaniel, Iola Dupey, and Corrine Caples.  Pauline is survived by her daughters, Janice Scheuler of Hutchinson and Bonita Killion (Greg) of Clearwater, Kansas; grandchildren: Matt Scheuler (Erica), Jill Powell, Stacy Udcoff (Keith), Chad Hacker (Denee), and David Killion (Amanda); great-grandchildren: Kaden, Karsen, and Keaton Scheuler, Brody Powell, Addison Coldiron (Logan), Logan and Landon Udcoff, Camryn and Landry Hacker, and Kashlee Killion; great-great grandchild, Emerson Coldiron; daughter-in-law, Janet Hacker of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Viewing and visitation is from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2026 at the funeral home.  Graveside Service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Harper Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to Phoenix Care Hospice of Hutchinson and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
