Patricia Lavonne "Patty" Rusk was born August 23, 1950 in Hardtner, Kansas, daughter of William F. and Betty Jeanne Alice (McMahon) Rusk. She grew up in Kiowa, Kansas.

Patty worked as the Postmaster of the Hazelton Post Office until retiring. In earlier years she worked as a nurse's aide.

On October 23, 2018, Patty passed away at her home in Anthony at the age of 68 years and 2 months. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Patty will be deeply missed by her siblings: twin brother, Michael Rusk, Sue Fiering, and Wayne Kidd; 4 nieces and nephews, who knew her as Aunt Pat Pat: Cyndra Kastens, DJay McCall, Jeff Bagnell and Raymond Scott Spriggs; 10 great-nieces and nephews: Brittany Sowter, Ciara Hoy, Zachary Perry, Devyn Hoy, Jeffrey Bagnell, Michael Spriggs, Becca Sowter, Tiffany Spriggs, Kooper Kastens and Emmery Kastens; several great-great nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Patty will always be remembered for sharp personality and her famous pies.

Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held. Memorials in memory of Patty may be made to DeVita Dialysis Center of Wichita and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
