Patricia Jean Burnett was born on May 12, 1930 in Hardtner, Kansas to Carl and Opal (Allen) Botkin. The family made their home in Harper and she graduated from Harper High School with the class of 1948. After a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's, Patricia passed away on May 16, 2017 at the age of 87 in Wichita, Kansas with family by her side.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her first husband, Jerry Roberts of Westmoreland, KS who passed away when they were still newlyweds; and her second husband, John Teare of Atchison, KS who passed away on March 16, 1990.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Oscar Burnett of Wichita; children: Kelly Oliveri and husband, John of Papillion, NE; Michael Teare of Mulvane, KS; Patrick Teare of Rogers, AR; Candice Doering and her husband, Mark of Spicewood, TX; Melanie Ericson and her husband, Wally of Mulvane; and Brett Teare of Mulvane. Patricia's tree had many more branches which include 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren who cherished her. She was the Matriarch of the family who enjoyed traveling, tending her flowers, loved her music and theater, and had a way of bringing her large family together to celebrate life. Her family will all miss her vibrant presence, but know she is at peace.

Cremation has taken place. Friends may register at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Family will be at the church at 1:00 p.m. on Friday to receive friends.

Memorial Mass will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 19th at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Harper, of the St. Joan of Arc Parish Community. Family will hold a private inurnment at the Harper Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Patricia would have been honored to have donations in her name made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital and those may be sent in care of the funeral home.
