Marlin Montie Yoder was born November 14, 1971 in Attica, Kansas, son of Ellis Dale and Phyllis J. (Thomas) Yoder.

On May 23, 1995, Marlin was united in marriage with Martha Valdez at Salina, Kansas.

Marlin served in the United States Navy. He was self-employed as a contractor, being able to complete any type of construction job.

On May 19, 2018, Marlin passed away at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 46 years. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Marlin will be deeply missed by his wife, Martha; daughters: Kiri Selman, Elise Yoder, D'Ann Yoder and Amber Yoder; five siblings: Marcia Waite and husband, Lyle, Faye Woodson and husband, Wes, Mark Yoder and wife, Janet, Mike Yoder and wife, Sara, and Matthew Yoder and wife, Tamara; 1 granddaughter, Cataleya; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Private family services will be held at the Crystal Springs Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
