Mark Alan Price was born on May 28, 1958 in Bridgeport, Texas to Norvin Elwood Price and Lovie Jo (Allan) Price.  Because of Norvin's job, the family made their home in several states before settling in Kiowa, Kansas when Mark was three years old.  Mark attended grade school and high school in Kiowa, graduating with the class of 1976.

Starting his first business, Mark had The Sound Shop in Kiowa.  He also worked for his dad at Price Farm Equipment.  With a love of music, Mark was a DJ for the local radio station.  The last several years of his working days was for the city of Kiowa, where he was the animal control officer.

Marks was an avid hunter and fisherman.  But his favorite thing to do was ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle.  He did it all: solo rides, going with other riders, poker runs, and of course going to Sturgis.  Later in life Mark was baptized at the Kiowa Southern Baptist Church where he attended services regularly.

At the young age of 63, Mark passed away on July 2, 2021 at the Mt. Hope Nursing Center.  He is preceded in death by his parents.  Mark is survived by his sister, Kim Kauffman and her husband, Randy of Harper, Kansas; nephew, Mason Powell and his wife, Bobbie of Cheney, Kansas; great-niece and great-nephew, Sophia and Amos; other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Kiowa Southern Baptist Church with Brother Ken Bowden officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Kansas Humane Society and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
