Obituary

Margaret Rose "Marge" Wedman, 86, of Littleton, Colorado passed away Wednesday July 7, 2021, at the Manor at Marston Lake in Littleton.  Margaret was born on April 16, 1935, in Danville, Kansas to Joseph and Dorothy (Clements) Wedman.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leonard Wedman of Danville and Tom Wedman of Harper, Kansas; and brother-in-law Alan Mackey of Wichita, Kansas.  She is survived by her three sons: Mark Stein of Littleton, Kent (Becky) Stein of Littleton, and Todd (Joanne) Stein of Albuquerque, New Mexico; four grandchildren: Michael, Samantha, Nathan, and Shannon Stein; brother, Roger Wedman of Anthony, Kansas; sister, Marilyn Mackey of Wichita; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Wedman of Danville and Georgia Wedman of Harper; numerous relatives and friends.

Margaret attended and graduated from Immaculate Conception Elementary School in Danville.  She then attended high school at Sacred Heart Academy in Wichita for two years and graduated from Harper High School with the class of 1953.  Furthering her education, she earned an Associate Degree at American Business College in Wichita.

On April 19, 1958, Margaret was united in marriage with Peter L. Stein at Immaculate Conception Church in Danville.

Margaret was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Littleton and was Secretary at the church rectory for several years before deciding to go back to school and earn a Paralegal Degree and License.  She went on to work in the legal departments at Johns Manville Corporation and then Cyprus Amax Mining, both in Littleton.  Following her retirement, she volunteered at St. Mary's Church and worked with underprivileged youth at a local elementary school to help them learn reading and writing skills.

Margaret enjoyed walking daily, playing golf, loved taking care of her flower garden, and was an avid reader.  She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, strong faith, kind heart, and dedicated volunteer services to her community.  Being with family and friends always brought her joy and happiness, and they will miss her dearly.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 a.m.  Monday, August 16, 2021, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Danville, of the St. Joan of Arc Parish Community of Harper County with Father Bob Pinninti officiating.  Inurnment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery south of Danville.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Littleton on September 24 , 2021.

Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Church and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
