Loretta Lee Casper was born on February 1, 1949 in Emporia, Kansas, the oldest child of Floyd Lee "Skeet" and Gladys Mae (Pritchard) Casper.  While she was young, the family first moved to Thomas, Oklahoma before moving to Attica, Kansas in 1958.  This is where Loretta, known as Rita, attended school, graduating from Attica High School.

Along with raising her son, Justin, Rita worked for Attica Engineering as a deburr technician.  The company was bought by Cox Machine and Rita then worked at the Harper location before she eventually retired.

Making her home north of Attica, this is where Rita passed away on February 28, 2026 at the age of 77.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Skeet and Gladys Casper.  Rita is survived by her son, Justin Casper (Judith Morton) of Attica; siblings: Richard Casper (Donna), Patricia Casper Hudson (Steve), and James Casper (Renee), all of Attica; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Cremation has taken place and the family plans to have a private Celebration of Life in the near future.
