Obituary

Linda Anne Dills was born November 23, 1943 in Roosevelt, Oklahoma, daughter of Charles Fain and Marilyn Dalores (Ball) Muldowney.  She graduated from Roosevelt High School. She began furthering her education at Oklahoma State University, before transferring to Kansas State University where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business and a minor in Psychology.  She later attended Northwestern Oklahoma in Alva, obtaining her Teaching Degree.

On June 5, 1964, Linda was united in marriage with Robert Dills in Roosevelt, Oklahoma. This union was blessed with three sons:  Brandon, Justin, and Monty.

The family made their home in Anthony, Kansas, where Linda taught at Chaparral High School for 37 years. Very active in her work and community, Linda was a member of NEA, People to People in which she traveled to 22 countries, Big Blue Backers, FBLA, Beta Sigma Phi, ADPI, USD 361 Wellness Team, 4-H, PEO, was a devoted member of the Anthony Christian Church serving as the church treasurer for more than 30 years and served on the Hospital Board of Directors.

Being adventurous and always living her life to the fullest, Linda enjoyed photography, working on computers, traveling, running, walking with her friends, tennis, jewelry making, hiking, snow skiing, water skiing, bridge club, being outdoors, and her flowers, especially her lavender bed. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, and her favorite dog, Quincy.

On her 78 th birthday, November 23, 2021, Linda passed away peacefully at her home in Anthony, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Linda will be deeply missed by her husband, Robert Dills; sons:  Brandon Dills and wife, Keri, Justin Dills and wife, Tammy, and Monty Dills; her brother, Michael Muldowney; 8 grandchildren:  RayAnn Conway, Seth Dills, Hunter Dills, Sierra Dills, Juli Dills, Sadie Baird, Addox Dills, and Zaelie Walker; 4 great-grandchildren, the 5 th arriving soon; numerous fellow teachers and students; other relatives; and many friends.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. December 4, 2021 at the Christian Church in Anthony.  Inurnment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery.

Friends may register 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2021 at Prairie Rose Funeral Home, Anthony.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Robert and Linda Dills Scholarship Fund or the Anthony Christian Church and may be sent in care of Prairie Rose Funeral Home, 602 E. Main St., Anthony, KS 67003.
