Lina D. Lipps was born April 20, 1935 in Anaheim, California, daughter of Frank and Frances (Rhoads) Long. After she was born her family returned to Anthony, Kansas where Lina graduated from Anthony High School.

Upon Don retiring he and Lina moved back to Anthony. Lina worked at the Duckwall's in Anthony for a few years but spent the majority of her life as a homemaker.

On September 18, 2019, Lina passed away at the Anthony Community Care Center at the age of 84, just in time to spend her 65th wedding anniversary in Heaven with her husband, Don, who preceded her in death in 2004. She also joins in Heaven her son, Dean; daughter, Linnell; 2 great-grandchildren; and sister, Ellen Bates.
