Lenora Jane Kane was born September 18, 1952 in Harper, Kansas, one of five children born to Lawrence and Normalea (Yoder) Smithhisler.  She grew up on a farm southeast of Danville, Kansas, and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Grade School and Harper High School.

She married Danny Joe Reymer and this union was blessed with two daughters, Callista and Wendy.

She later met Mike Kane and they married at Sokol Hall on November 23, 1996.  This union was blessed with one son, Mikey.  They made their home in Bluff City, Kansas, before moving to Manchester, Oklahoma. Norie worked for Celco in Anthony for many years.  After retiring, she and Mike moved to Shidler, Oklahoma to enjoy life at Kaw Lake.

Norie was a kind-hearted, caring, easy-going mother and friend.  She was a crafty and talented artist, making pictures out of flint and enjoyed drawing and macrame art.  She also liked gardening and growing flowers.

On September 16, 2025, Norie passed away in Enid, Oklahoma two days before her 73rd birthday.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her baby brother, Larry Smithhisler Jr.

Norie will be deeply missed by her husband, Mike; her children: Callista (Shon) Webster, Wendy Reymer-Anderson, and Mikey (Kora) Kane; 5 grandchildren: Brandon Webster, Nyle (Chloe) Anderson, Aliyah Anderson, Kali Webster, and Shonda Webster; great-grandchildren, Wren Anderson, Dacia Avritt, Dylon Webster and Trevior Webster; siblings: Gene (LeAnn) Smithhisler, Lou McCaslin, and Ginny Hamilton; several nieces and nephews; her extended Kane family; and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2025 at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony with Roy Jacobs officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bluff City, KS.  Following the graveside the family invites everyone to join them at the Idle Hour in Anthony.
