Laura Ann Cardone was born in Anthony, Kansas on February 10, 1968 to Larry Dale and Phyllis Ann (Sowers) Moore. The family made their home in Harper, Kansas. This is where Laura went to grade school before going on to Chaparral High School, graduating with the class of 1986.
Extending her education, Laura attended Wichita Technical Institute and received her certification as a Laboratory Technician. First working at the Attica Hospital, she then moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas and worked in a hospital there. Returning home to Harper, Laura worked for the Harper Hospital for 25 years.
In March of 1992, Laura was united in marriage with Todd Cardone in Harper. The young couple had twin boys, John and Gene and a year later had their third son, Christopher.
Laura enjoyed riding the motorcycle with her significant other, Brian, leaving town to see friends, going out to eat, or going to the casino. She also enjoyed the simplicity and peace of having a beer on the back porch.
After bravely battling breast cancer for 14 months, Laura passed away at the Harper Hospital on June 3, 2018 with her family by her side.
