Obituary

Lanora was born on August 13, 1940 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Jim and Kathryn Fischer. She grew up in Isabel, KS and graduated from Isabel High School. She went on to work as a waitress and owned her own cleaning business for many years.

Lanora married Max Perry in Miami, OK on June 8, 1961. They enjoyed traveling to Branson, Missouri at least twice a year, dancing in their earlier years at the Copper Club and spending time with their family.

Lanora is survived by daughters, Sonya (Mark) Copp and Sara (Mike) Yoder; her brother, Jimmie Don Fisher of Newton, KS; grandchildren: Shaila (Matt) Klosterman, Jennifer Gay, Marissa (John) St. John, and Christopher (MacKenzie) Yoder; great-grandchildren: Madison, Jackson, Lucas and Easton Klosterman, Alexander Dominguez and Paislee Yoder. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Dean Fisher, Sue Lafferty, Kenneth Lee Fischer, her spouse, Max, daughter, Sandra Gay; and grandson, Michael Perry.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 10:30 AM at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made payable to Lanora Perry Memorial Fund and sent in care of Prairie Rose Funeral Home, 602 E. Main St., Anthony, KS 67003.
