Luwana Kaye (Brendle) McClure

August 4, 1955 – November 15, 2025

Kaye was born in Ada, Oklahoma to Billy and Tate Brendle.  Soon after graduating high school, Kaye met John McClure and they were married in 1976.  After raising their three kids in Harper, Kansas, Kaye and John moved to Wichita in 2016.  Kaye spent most of her life working in dental and banking.  They were married for 49 1/2 years, Kaye's favorite saying was I had you and you had me.  You'll forever be the best flame of my life.

Our beloved wife, grandmother and friend. left this world at age 70, surrounded by the love she poured into everyone throughout her life.

A beautiful, funny, truly special soul, Kaye touched countless lives with her radiant smile and unmistakable laugh, which could light up any room.

With deep love and heavy hearts, our family will always remember our MiMi.

Her grandchildren were her greatest joy and she cherished every moment she spent with them.  Her kids were the center of her world.  She lived every day with a heart full of pride for and devotion to the family she raised.

Kay shared the sweetest rhythm of life with her best friend and husband, John.  Their nightly golf cart rides, visiting neighbors and enjoying simple moments together were among her favorite parts of each day.  She found happiness in the small things, a good book, her favorite chair to read in and her soap opera that she faithfully watched for 30 years.  After their retirement, John and Kaye enjoyed their trips to the Colorado mountains, preferably Estes Park three times a year to listen to the elk bugle.

She loved with her whole heart and was always willing to do anything for anyone.  Her kindness, her laugh and her unwavering love will remain forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

MiMi will be missed beyond measure and remembered with endless love.  May she rest in peace, wrapped in the same love she gave so freely in life.

Kaye is preceded in death by her parents Billy and Tate Brendle and her sister in law Kathy Brendle.  She is survived by her husband John, her brother, Chuck of Roff Oklahoma and her children, Shawn, Kyle (Kandice) and Kacee, Seven grandchildren.

Kaye has been cremated and when John passes, they will be laid to rest in a valley on top of their favorite place in Estes Park, Colorado.
