Joseph Lloyd Malone was born May 16, 1939 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, son of Willie LeRoy and Helen Katherine (Hale) Malone.

On June 29, 1957, Joseph married Carolyn Jean Duvall in Huntsville, Arkansas.  This union was blessed with four children: Lynn, Anthony, Michael, and Shawn.  Joe and Carolyn began their family lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, eventually settling in San Jose, California.

Joe learned many trades as a young man, but the one that he connected to the most was floor covering. He worked very hard most of his life installing flooring and was able to open his own business, Malone's Carpet Service, that provided for his family for many years.

Joe loved fishing and was most at peace in the mountains, near a lake with a pole in his hand.

In 2009, after retiring, Joe and Carolyn moved to Bluff City, Kansas.

On March 14, 2024, Joe passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side, in Bluff City, Kansas, at the age of 84.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife of 65 years, Carolyn.

Joe will be deeply missed by his children: Lynn (Charlie) Allen, Anthony Malone, Michael Malone, and Shawn Malone; his siblings: Bob (Debbie) Malone, Les (Sue) Malone, and Susie (Richard) Greer; 7 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; along with many other loved relatives and friends.

Cremation has taken place.  There will be no services per Joe's request.
