John R Gates

John Robert Gates, 81, passed away October 28, 2026 at Anthony Community Care Center.  Survivors include his sons: Rick Gates and wife, Rebecca, and Randy Gates; grandchildren: Reanna, Aiden, and Alanna Gates; siblings: Jim Gates, Jack (Janice) Gates, Joyce (Gerald) Kaup, and Jerome (Reta) Gates; several nieces and nephews; other relatives, and many friends.  (Full obituary will be posted upon completion)

Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at the Christian Church in Anthony with Pastor Ron Eden officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Park Cemetery.

Friends may view and register from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony.
