Jeffery Lynn Coleman was born on December 20, 1966 in Wichita, Kansas to Ronald Eugene Donald Coleman and Mary Victoria (Grant) Coleman. The second youngest of six boys, Jeffery attended various schools in Kansas and Oklahoma before the family settled in Norwich, Kansas. There he started seventh grade and later graduated from Norwich High School.
Starting to pursue his business degree, Jeffery was attending Hutchinson Community College while working at Furrs Restaurant as a server. During one of his shifts, he met the love of his life, Ruth, on March 8th (with seven lucky pennies in his shoe and while wearing a tight pair of gray pants that reeled Ruth in).
Jeffery was united in marriage with Ruth Evelyn Jackson on August 27, 1987. The couple were blessed with two children, Samantha Renay Evelyn and Jackson Gage Lynn. He provided for his family by working at Farrar Corporation, a local foundry, holding multiple positions throughout his 26 years with the company.
When Jeffery wasn't working, he filled his time with his family. He helped Ruth run the household, faithfully attended various school functions for his kids, enjoyed family game nights, attended church and bible studies, checking out the latest action film, or answering all the questions on the most recent Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune episode while enjoying a great cup of coffee. Jeffery also loved to dance, listen to music, and laugh with everyone he met.
After 27 years of marriage, Ruth passed away on June 14, 2014. Upon the devastation of his wife's passing, Jeffery filled his time traveling around the country to visit his kids and various family members. He continued to attend local churches in the Norwich and Milton area and clung to his love for music, action movies, and a good laugh.
At the age of 54 years, 3 months, and 29 days, Jeffery passed away at his home in Norwich on April 18, 2021. Preceding him in death are his parents, Ronald and Victoria Coleman; wife, Ruth Coleman; and brothers, John William and Ronald James Coleman. Jeffery is survived by his children, Samantha Coleman and Jackson Coleman, both of Wichita; brothers: Jesse Arlen Lewis Coleman, Joseph Wesley Coleman, and James "Bo" Clayton Coleman (Bo's wife, Heather) all of Kansas City, Missouri; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
