Jason Allyn Sherman was born September 20, 1970 in Anthony, Kansas to Cynthia Patterson.  He grew up in Manchester, Oklahoma attending Wakita School until he transferred to Chaparral High School where he graduated with the Class of 1989.  From a young age, Jason had a talent for drawing and art.  Following graduation, he attended drafting school in Wichita.

Jason spent the majority of his life in Manchester. He worked many years for his cousin Jeff at Dodgen Construction and for Larry Wharton at Wharton Tooling.

After meeting Amy, Jason made the big move to Tennessee.  The two were meant for each other and she made him the happiest he had ever been.  He went to work for Southern Bloomer Manufacturing Company where he became family to the owners and eventually became a co-owner of the company.

Jason was a very comical and colorful person who was naturally sarcastic and witty. Even though he was very easily loved, he always said he had been pissing people off since his birth. He always told the story of his mom saying that she would not be a teenage mother, but he showed her and arrived the day before her 20th birthday.

His sense of humor made people laugh daily. He loved spending his time laughing and joking with the kids all while trying to pick at Amy by yelling "honey tea" or "woman sandwich." He was adamant about taking care of his beloved cats, most of which were strays he had lovingly taken in and cared for. If anyone ever asked J his age, he was 28, no matter the year. It was his way of reminding us "only the good die young."

On December 3, 2022, Jason passed away at his home in Bristol, Tennessee.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Graves and his brother, Scotty Lee Williams.

Those left to cherish memories of Jason include his loving wife, Amy Wheeler Sherman; stepson, Toi Collins; stepdaughter, Talen Collins; sister, Becky Rader; nephew, Blake Rader; aunts, Sheryl Hopkins and Julia Vavra; uncles, Bob Williams and Darryl Dodgen; all of his extended Patterson, Kane, Sherman, Dodgen, and Williams family; and many beloved friends.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony, Kansas with Pastor Kent Olds officiating.  You are encouraged to dress casually and the family requests that you consider wearing your favorite Harley Davidson or gun related shirt, as this would be what Jason would want you to wear.

Memorials in memory of Jason may be made to either the Manchester Cemetery, Healing Hands Health Center in Bristol, TN, or the Kidney Cancer Association, and can be sent in care of Prairie Rose Funeral Home, 602 E. Main St., Anthony, KS 67003.
