Jason "Miles" Hart of Steamboat Springs, Colorado passed away on Wednesday, August 2 in Caldwell, Kansas at the age of 28.

Miles was born on March 5, 1995 to Jason and Rita (Subera) Hart in Wichita, Kansas.  Growing up, Miles' family relocated several times, and he was raised in Oklahoma, Kansas, Alaska, and Colorado.  Miles was raised an only child until the birth of his younger brother Vaughn in 2004, followed by Christian in 2007, and Kailey in 2012.  He cherished the role of "big brother" and loved teaching his siblings to share his passions as well as pranks.

Miles developed his sense of adventure early in life, and the mountains have always felt like home to him.  He loved fishing with his family, hunting with his brother, Vaughn, and tearing up the trails on his dirt bike.  Night fishing and frog gigging with Ashton and Vaughn were especially favorite pastimes.

Miles' father, Jason, was a carpenter and homebuilder, and he grew up learning the trade at his side.  Over the past ten years, Miles became a talented woodworker and ran his own carpentry and remodeling business.  In addition, he was a talented artist who loved to draw.

Miles had a deep love for his family, which grew to include the love of his life, Ashton Wheeler, whom he met in 2019.  They became engaged in March of 2020, and made their home in Augusta, Kansas, before moving to Steamboat Springs in July 2022.

Miles had a playful spirit, and he loved to goof around and make people laugh, whether it was over his silly dance moves, a good practical joke, or hiding around the corner to scare Ashton.   Miles will be deeply missed by his loved ones, who cherish the good memories of a young man taken too soon.

Preceding Miles in death were his father, Jason Hart; grandmother, Susie DeMayo; and uncle, Steven Spotts.  Miles is survived by his fiancé, Ashton Wheeler, of Steamboat Springs; mother, Rita Hart, of Caldwell; grandparents, Johnny and Jeannie Subera and Doug DeMayo, all of Caldwell; brothers Vaughn and Christian Hart and sister Kailey Hart of Caldwell; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Memorial Service is 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2023 at Hope Church in Caldwell with Pastor Kordell Kattenberg officiating.  A private family inurnment will take place at the Czechoslovakian Cemetery, west of Caldwell.
