James Perry "Jim" Arnett was born August 1, 1963 in Anthony, Kansas, son of Phillip James and Marilyn Lena (George) Arnett.  He grew up in Anthony attending Washington Elementary School and Chaparral High School.
Jim married Eileen Kane and this union was blessed with two children: Lindsey and Nicholas. Jim was the best father he knew how to be. The couple eventually divorced but remained friends.
In his early years, Jim worked for Ray Hanna installing siding on homes.  This started his passion for the construction industry.  He worked at Morrisons in Anthony and Brittain Machine in Wichita. He eventually went back to his passion for remodeling and construction, starting E&A Construction with friend Brian Evans.
Jim had a love for motorcycles, gambling, and good conversations and gatherings. He especially enjoyed trips to Sturgis. He also shot trap with his father and helped his mom and dad at the Anthony Gun Club.  He and his dad won many trophies together in Kansas and Oklahoma.
On December 8, 2024, Jim passed away at his home in Anthony at the age of 61.  He was preceded in death by his father, Phil.
Jim will be deeply missed by his children: Lindsey Arnett, Nicholas Arnett, and Misty Latta; his mother, Marilyn Arnett; grandchildren: Adrianna, Isaiah, McKinley, Zyles, and Wilbur; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2024 at the Manchester Cemetery in Manchester, Oklahoma with Pastor Kent Olds officiating.
