James Earl Craig was born December 7, 1959 in Lubbock, Texas. His family moved to Anthony, Kansas where James attended school graduating from Chaparral High School. He was an avid sportsman, playing all sports.
James was a jack of all trades never afraid to get his hands dirty. He was a construction worker, county worker, farm hand, referee and mechanic. While living in Wakita, Oklahoma the movie "Twister" was being filmed and he was instrumental in the building of the sets for the movie. This was an experience he was very proud of.
On July 25, 2018, James passed away at the Harper Hospital at the age of 58 years, 7 months and 18 days. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie and one sister, Christine (McDaniel) Wolfe.
James will be deeply missed by his parents, Karuth and Jay McDaniel; son, Conner Dickey; companion, Nancy Latta-Barker; siblings: Jesse Craig, Eddie Craig, Gregory Baker, Mildred Baker, Myrtle Sanford and husband, Anson, Ernestine Alford, and Marilyn Dumas and husband, Darryl; 2 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
