Jack J. Roth, born in Medicine Lodge, Ks, May 26, 1930, to Fred and Vera (Roots) Roth, and passed to his eternal home April 29, 2021 at Country Living, Anthony, Ks.  He spent his childhood in the Lasswell area in Barber County Kansas.

He left high school his sophomore year in order to help support his family.  He began working for the Grigsby Brothers near Attica Ks, which began his long career of employment for area farmers and ranchers.  He retired from Moore Farms at the age of 80.

Jack was skilled with his hands and took pride in everything he did.  As a young man, he and his mom Vera added a kitchen/utility room to their home in Attica while his dad was in Texas working on the RR.  Whether it was building bird houses and planter wagons, mowing yards, building Pat's greenhouse or a workshop for him, hunting and fishing, a prolific cacti propagator, and a Professional Armchair Golf Commentator.  He was also devoted to maintaining the Roth Family Farm SW of Medicine Lodge.

Jack met the love of his life in 1948, Patricia Ann Wallace, and they were married October 15, 1950.  They were blessed with four honyocks(his words), George Jack, Susan Carol, Gregory Glenn and Karen Leanne.  They raised their family on a farm south of Anthony, where Jack worked for Croft Farms.

In 1984 Jack and Pat moved to Anthony, where they resided until January 2021, when they moved to Country Living in Anthony.

Jack loved his wife and children with all his heart.  He was especially proud, that even though he was not able the finish high school, he was able to send his children to college and watch them become successful in their chosen professions.

Preceding Jack in death were his parents, Fred and Vera (Roots) Roth, his in-laws George and Nellie (Broce) Wallace, his brother Billy and brothers-in-law Homer Burkhart and Paul O. Banister, and sister-in-law, Phyllis Bowman Roth.

Surviving is his wife of 70 years, Patricia, children George (Bev) Weiser, Id, Susan (Mike) Clevenger, Haysville, Ks, Greg (Cindy) Roth, Wichita, Ks and Karen (Barry) Santee, Hutchinson, Ks.  Sisters Rita Burkhart, Lawrence, Ks and Barbara Banister, Attica, Ks, 16 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren with #36 due in June, and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Spring Grove Cemetery, west of Anthony, with Pastor Warren Stanton officiating.

Friends may register and view 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday and 9:00 a.m. to Noon Saturday at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Country Living Inc. and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
