Jesse Wilson, age 68, of Wagoner, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Monday, January 9, 2017 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was born in Wichita, Kansas on March 23, 1948, to Paul and "Tuttie" Wilson.
Jesse served in the U.S. Army for three years and then continued serving with the National Guard.
Jesse married Nancy Faye Phillips in Anthony, Kansas on January 30, 1973, and to this union they have two children.
Jesse re-enlisted in the Army and continued proudly serving for a total of 23 years, until retiring in August of 1990.
Jesse and Nancy moved to Blackwell, Oklahoma where they both decided to go to school for their CDL license for truck driving. They were a driving team and drove for Interstate Trucking and later with Tri-State Trucking Company, for a total of twelve years. Jesse later drove for JB Hunt Company, until he completely retired. He loved being out on the road with his wife by his side.
Jesse enjoyed being near the lake and fishing. He was a loving family man.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Jacob Wilson.
Jesse is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, of the home; his son, BillyRay E. Wilson and wife, Rachel of Wagoner, OK; his daughter, Michelle Pieplow of Nashville, TN; three sisters, Paula Hughes of Wichita, KS, Helen Hall of Kingman, KS, and Carmen Ritter of Phoenix, AZ; 3 grandchildren; other family members and many friends.
Memorial graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2017 at Forest Park Cemetery in Anthony, KS. Military Honors will be by Fort Riley Honor Guard.
