Helen C. Wilt was born January 13, 1936 in Manchester, Oklahoma, one of six daughters born to Anton "Tony" and Christina (Bortz) Butz.  She grew up in Manchester, graduating from Manchester High School with the Class of 1954.

On December 28, 1955, Helen was united in marriage with Clinton A. Wilt in Anthony, Kansas.  To this union twins were born:  David and Diane.

Helen was a homemaker and also worked many years as an independent elderly caregiver.  She loved cooking, crafting and collecting depression and carnival glass.  Her favorite pastime was quilting and crocheting.  She was a member of the Anthony Christian Church.

On December 23, 2019, Helen passed away at Patterson Health Center north of Anthony, Kansas at the age of 83.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton on March 14, 2008; her daughter, Diane Pape; her parents; and sisters:  Fern Ball, Imogene Ball, and Jane Hayden.

Helen will be deeply missed by her son, Dr. David Wilt and wife, Elizabeth; grandchildren:  Garrett Wilt, Alyssa Wilt Falck (Robert), Jessica Pape Kinzer (John), and Joshua Pape (Jessica); 3 great-grandchildren; sisters: Linda Coombs and Joyce Wooley; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2019 at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony with Pastor Ed Preston officiating.  Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, west of Anthony.

Visitation and Viewing will be held 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to service Friday at Prairie Rose in Anthony.

Memorials in memory of Helen may be made to Country Living Inc. or to the Anthony Christian Church, and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
