Gail Lynne (Capps) Prescott was born on June 23, 1959 in Sterling, Kansas to Marvin Linn and Edith (Cruth) Capps. The family lived in Lyons, Kansas and this is where Gail started school. During her 1st grade year, the family moved to Attica. Gail loved sports and was active in volleyball and softball. She graduated with the Attica High School class of 1979.
On April 26, 2001 Gail married David Prescott in a white wedding chapel in Las Vegas. The couple made their home in Wichita before moving to Attica in 2007. Their families combined with her children, Amanda and Justin and David's children: David Jr, Derrick, Dylan, and Amanda.
Through the years, Gail worked in a variety of places. She worked out of her home for a period of time, running a daycare. Most recently she had worked as a clerk in a convenience store. Crafts and just going out sightseeing gave Gail great joy. She also loved decorating cakes. In 2008, Gail started attending the Faith Baptist Church of Attica. This is where she was baptized and saved by the grace of the Lord.
