Florence I. Caviness was born July 14, 1935 in Wichita, Kansas, daughter of James Elbert and Lucy Edna (Brewer) Logan.  She worked at the Coleman Plant for many years.

After retiring, she moved to Anthony, Kansas. In 2017, she moved into the Anthony Community Care Center, where she enjoyed all the staff and residents.

On November 10, 2021, Florence passed away peacefully at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Florence will be deeply missed by all the staff and residents at Anthony Community Care Center and a few cousins.

Florence will be privately laid to rest beside her grandparents, Wilbur and Florence Powell, in the Highland Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas.  Prairie Rose Funeral Home, 602 E. Main St., Anthony, KS 67003, is in charge of arrangements.
