Obituary

Evelyn E. Calvert was born on May 7, 1936 in Pitkin, Louisiana to Buster and Eunice (Anding) Doyle. She grew up with two brothers and a sister.

Evelyn met Alfred Francis Calvert while he was serving in the Air Force. She went with him to his home town of Attica, Kansas and married him there on August 20, 1962. After Alfred retired from the Air Force, the family moved to Attica. Evelyn and Alfred had been married for 53 and a half years when he passed away on March 5, 2016.

Although Evelyn worked some outside of the home, she was always a homemaker first. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, family was the most important thing in her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Buster and Eunice; her husband, Alfred Francis Calvert Sr; her son, Chris Calvert; step-daughter, Linda Calvert; great-granddaughter, Ariel Winter; both of her brothers and her sister; and a son-in-law, James Adams.
