Erma O. Mandemaker was born March 28, 1933 in Rural Milton, Kansas, daughter of Tony and Ruth (Callison) Wineinger. She graduated from Norwich High School.
Erma was united in marriage with Wilburn Judkins. This union was blessed with four children: Wilburn, Sandra, Jack and Juanita.
After Wilburn passed away Erma married Bob Mandemaker. They made their home in Harper.
Erma was a member of the Calvary Bible Baptist Church, where she played piano and organ. She was a past member of the VFW Auxiliary and Rebekah Lodge #32 in Harper. She enjoyed hard work and loved caring for people as a CNA. In her free time she liked to crochet.
On New Year's Day in 2010, Erma moved to Anthony and became a resident of the Anthony Community Care Center.
On January 20, 2017, Erma passed away at the Anthony Community Care Center at the age of 83 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; son, Wilburn; daughter, Sandra Zoch; sister, Marie Cravens; brother, Eldon Wineinger; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren.
Erma will be deeply missed by her children: Juanita Foster and Jack Judkin; brothers: Dean and Glenn Wineinger; longtime friend and caregiver, Earlene Johnson; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
A Memorial Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Harper City Cemetery. Friends may sign the online guest book.
Memorials in memory of Erma may be made to the Anthony Community Care Center or the Calvary Bible Baptist Church, and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
