Obituary

Donnis Land, age 86, died Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

Born Donnis Mae Boyts on April 30, 1936 in Harper, Kansas, she was the daughter of Roy and Pearl (Gleichman) Boyts.  Donnis was a triplet with brother, Donald Ray and sister, Donna Fae.  Her childhood was spent in the Crystal Springs area and she graduated from Harper High School with the class of 1955.

Donnis married Glenn Yoder in 1955 and to this union was born Rodney Lynn and Stanley Eugene.  After their divorce, Donnis met and married Keith Land and another son was born, Raymond Alan, making them a family of five.

Along with being a homemaker, Donnis worked at the Harper Hospital and then Boeing before her retirement.  She then enjoyed her last job as a volunteer at the Thrift Shop in Kingman, Kansas.  Donnis loved making food and feeding people, her specialties being biscuits and gravy and pies.

A devout Christian, Donnis was a past member of the Harper Christian Church, Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church in Harper, and most recently Kingman Christian Church.  She was a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship.

Donnis was preceded in death by her parents, husband Keith, and her brother Don.  She is survived by her sons: Rod and Debbie Yoder of Garden City, Kansas, Stan and Cheryl Yoder of Kingman, and Ray and Shawn Land of Wichita, Kansas; four grandchildren: Katie and Wayne Mastin of Derby, Kansas, Jamie and Jarod Richardson of Owasso, Oklahoma, Allen and Lisa Yoder of Harper, and Kara and Shamus Hager of Steelville, Missouri; seven great-grandchildren: BrynAn, Breckyn, and Bridger Richardson, Abrielle, Lucas, and Lydia Yoder, and Jayda Mastin; sister, Donna VanOrden and her husband, Ed; other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Prairie Rose Funeral Home, Harper with Pastor Kelly Jayne officiating.  Burial will follow at the Harper Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Wheatland's Healthcare Center in Kingman and can be sent in care of Prairie Rose Funeral Homes, 613 W 14th St ~ Harper, Kansas, 67058.
