Donald Lee Rother was born April 12, 1959 in Lawton, Oklahoma, son of Jim and Donna (Waltz) Rother.
While raising his oldest daughter, Jessica, Don met and married Cam Angle and his youngest daughter, Stormy was born.
Don worked for over 14 years at the Gyp Mill in Medicine Lodge to support his family. He later worked as a skid steer operator for Carr Enterprises until retiring.
When he wasn't working Don enjoyed going fishing, playing Madden on his PS3, and spending time with his family. Don's greatest love was his family. His two daughters and five grandchildren were his whole world. He was always supportive and encouraging and they never had to question his love for them.
On July 23, 2022, Don passed away surrounded by his daughters and grandchildren at his home in Anthony at the age of 63. He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Ronald.
Don will be forever missed by his girls: Jessica Klinginsmith and husband, Nathan, and Stormy Rother and companion, Bobby Sutton; grandchildren: Adalyn Persons, Brayce Miller, Kora Persons, Rainy West, and Ripley Sutton; brothers, Mike Rother and Jamie Rother; other relatives and many friends.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony. Memorials in memory of Donald may be made to the Donald Rother Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of Prairie Rose Funeral Home, 602 E. Main St., Anthony, KS 67003.
