It was a beautiful day on May 17, 1995, when Destiny Jewell Reyna, daughter of Mary Ruth Lozoya and Samson Reyna made her appearance into this world in Hobbs, New Mexico.  Her family moved to Odessa, Texas, where she attended grade school.  During this time, she enjoyed being a pet pet (aka cheerleader.)  They later moved to Moore, Oklahoma where she attended Junior High.  Her family then moved to Attica, Kansas, where she completed her high school education through Chaparral High School.

Destiny was the life of the party, with the soul of a hippie.  She was a very talented singer and artist.  Blessed with a beautiful voice, she was drawn to Karaoke and spent many evenings singing with friends. With her talented hand, she drew many pictures of flowers intertwined with friends and family members names.

Destiny was very close with her family.  She always joked with her mom saying she was an only child or that her sisters were adopted, but that was from far how she truly felt.  Being the oldest, she always cared for her sisters deeply.  She was one of their biggest fans, and always tried to give them the best advice and encourage them to be the best they could be.  She would tell her mom that she was the "dad" of the family and inform her of how to take care of Emily and Tamara.  She always called Emily her other half, and then would say "our two halves make a whole idiot!" She referred to Tamara as her mini me or child because when Tamara was an infant, Destiny carried her into church, and everyone thought she was Tamara's mom.

On September 12, 2021, her family heard the heartbreaking news that Destiny's spirit had been set free at the young age of 26.  She meets in Heaven her older sister, Amanda Supulver; grandfathers:  Guadalupe Lozoya Sr. and Ramiro Nava; great-grandmother, Goldie Reyna; and her fiancé, RJ Martin.

Destiny's beautiful smile will be forever missed by her mother, Mary Ruth Lozoya; father, Samson Reyna and wife, Dana; sisters: Emily Lozoya and Tamara Lozoya; grandmothers, Betty Lozoya and Emily Nava; aunts and uncles:  Guadalupe and Joyce Lozoya, Henry Lozoya, Mike Reyna, Esubio Reyna, and Vanessa Gonzales; numerous cousins; and many, many friends.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony.

Friends may view and register from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony.
