Dennis Barker

Dennis Lee Barker was born on December 10, 1937 in Harper, Kansas, son of John Edward and Clara Myrtle (Howell) Barker.  The family home was a farmstead near Attica, Kansas and this is where Dennis went to school, graduating from Attica High School with the class of 1955.

Dennis was united in marriage with Judy Leslie on September 15, 1955 in Cherokee, Oklahoma.  The couple were blessed with four children: Dennis Scott, Casey, Tammy, and Jackie.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara Barker; son, Dennis Scott Barker; and son-in-law, Johnny McDaniel.

Funeral Service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2026 at Faith Baptist Church in Attica, Kansas with Pastor Jason Byars officiating.  Burial will follow at the Attica Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to Faith Baptist Church or Attica Senior Center and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
