Daylene Hinds was born on October 10, 1950 in Wichita, Kansas to Quentin Dale and Phyllis Anne (Lee) Showalter.  The family made their home in Rose Hill, Kansas.  She passed away on March 29, 2023 at Springview Manor Nursing Home in Conway Springs, Kansas.  Daylene was a longtime resident of Harper, Kansas.

Daylene is preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her significant other, Stephen Beal of the home; children: Melissa Moss of Harper, Melanie Wyatt of Wichita, and Michael Porter (Myranda) of Springfield, Missouri; grandchildren: Kelci and Hanna Moss, Alex and Reanna Wyatt, and Quentin and Lyla Porter; great-grandchildren, Railee and Dolly; siblings: Shelia Holland, Camille Crossley (Orin), and Richard Showalter (Tina); other relatives and many friends.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
