David Wayne Mansfield was born June 17, 1964 in Arlington, Texas, son of David and Barbara (Watson) Mansfield.

David spent most of his life in Texas.  He married Dana Landreth and this union was blessed with three children:  Sara, Matthew, and Jacob.

David's favorite job, among the many he had throughout the years, was working as a cook in the restaurant industry.  He loved cooking for work and at home.  He was an avid fisherman, arrowhead maker, hot wheel collector, and loved antiquing.  His favorite place to be was at a creek casting a line or hunting arrowheads.  David loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

In December of 2021, David moved from Paris, Texas to Anthony, Kansas.

On September 4, 2022, David passed away at his home in Anthony at the age of 58.  He was preceded in death by his parents and the mother of children, Dana Landreth.

David will be deeply missed by his children:  Sara Mansfield and companion, Nic Cullop, Matthew Mansfield and wife, Kimberly, and Jacob Mansfield and companion, Chelsi Wilson; siblings: Martha Mansfield Rael, Robert Mansfield, and Michael Mansfield; 8 grandchildren:  Alyvia Thomas, Adrianna Thomas, Norah Jean Mansfield, Trevor Cullop, Avi Atkins, Joseph Nelson, Emily Nelson, and Zoe Nelson.

Cremation has taken place and the family will lay David to rest at the East Post Oak Cemetery in Post Oak, Texas at a later date.
